IRRIGATION

Turn off all irrigation water and operate your clock manually. When you set your irrigation clock to come on during the early morning hours, remember to divide your watering time in half and then space the two intervals at least four hours apart. This allows the soil to absorb the application. Longer dryout periods encourages plants to grow deeper roots as they search for water.

Turn off your main irrigation gate valve and insulate all other pipes and valves that are exposed to outdoor temperatures.

  • Turn off all irrigation water and operate your clock manually. The rainy season is upon us and plants need a break.
  • If we don't receive any rain for 10/15 days, then water lawns only. Set lawn pop-ups, rainbirds and rotaries for two, 10/15 minute intervals.
  • Set running times for 1:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m.
  • The landscape won't need water.
  • Use the garden hose, if possible, to water potted plants and plants underneath the eaves.
